Riyadh Season 2026

Riyadh Season is the Saudi Entertainment Authority’s flagship annual programme, running from October through February across Riyadh and its satellite areas. Now in its seventh year, it has grown into one of the largest entertainment seasons in the world by both duration and scale of programming. The 2026-2027 edition covers five months and draws millions of visitors from across the Gulf region and internationally.

The season is not a single event but a coordinated programme across multiple venues simultaneously. At any given time during the October-to-February window, there are typically dozens of concurrent attractions, events, and experiences running across different parts of the city.

Key Venues

Boulevard Riyadh City is the primary hub of Riyadh Season. This purpose-built entertainment district in eastern Riyadh houses a mix of permanent attractions, temporary event spaces, restaurants, and retail. During the season it hosts headline concerts, comedy shows, and large-scale exhibitions. A separate area, Boulevard World, is a themed zone that recreates famous global landmarks and districts from multiple countries.

Riyadh Front and King Fahd International Stadium host larger capacity concerts and sporting events. The stadium has been used for boxing world title fights and major international music tours.

Al Qiddiya — the entertainment megaproject under development southwest of Riyadh — has contributed activations to Riyadh Season programming as its facilities come online.

Satellite venues around the wider Riyadh metropolitan area also feature in the season programme, from motorsport at the Riyadh Street Circuit to art exhibitions in gallery spaces across the city.

Typical Programme Content

Riyadh Season programming has included: international music concerts (from K-pop to Western pop to Arabic music), WWE and boxing events, esports tournaments, horror houses, luxury car shows, comedy festivals, fashion weeks, fine dining pop-ups, and large-scale immersive art experiences. The programme evolves each edition — the Saudi Entertainment Authority releases the season schedule on its website and the Riyadh Season app.

Many events within the season are free. Others require ticketed entry. A significant proportion of the headline concerts and sporting events sell out well in advance.

When to Visit

October and November offer the most comfortable outdoor temperatures (20 to 30°C during the day). December through February is Riyadh’s winter, with daytime highs of 15 to 25°C and cool evenings that can drop to 8 to 12°C. January and February are peak international visitor months due to the combined draw of Riyadh Season and better weather.

Accommodation in Riyadh fills during peak weekends — book hotels several weeks in advance if visiting around a major concert or event.

Getting Around Riyadh Season

The Riyadh Metro runs to Boulevard City (King Abdulaziz Station on Line 1). For other venues, taxis and ride-hailing apps are the standard option. Dedicated season shuttles sometimes operate between hubs — check the Riyadh Season app for current routes.
